Windstar Cruises’ Belinda Bennett, the first Black woman to captain a commercial cruise ship, shares what she’s been loving lately.
Reading: Clive Cussler is an all-time favorite author of mine. His books are full of adventure and classic treasure hunts – good escapist fun for when I want to relax and unwind.
Listening to: A friend recently introduced me to Joan Armatrading, a singer-songwriter with a 50-year career. I love getting lost in her music.
Shopping: The Wind Spirit is heading back to the Mediterranean next year, and I cannot pass Sorrento without picking up some good Italian leather handbags.
Dreaming of: I grew up on the remote island of Saint Helena, and when I’m on leave from Windstar, I spend most of my time there. I’m also planning a trip to scenic Vancouver, British Columbia – I don’t sail on Windstar’s Alaska voyages, so the city isn’t a usual stop for me.
